Liev Schreiber Books Showtime Pilot 'Ray Donovan'
Liev Schreiber dipping his toes in series TV. The 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine' actor will star in Showtime's 'Ray Donovan' pilot, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Schreiber will play the title character, a "fixer" for the Los Angeles rich and famous. He's the man they call when a problem needs to go away. However, with all the drama of his clients he has his own troubled family to deal with.
Ann Biderman, the creator of 'Southland,' will executive produce the series alongside Mark Gordon. Bryan Zuriff will co-executive produce. Production is expected to being in early 2012.
In 2007, Schreiber, who can next be seen in 'Goon,' did a multi-episode guest arc on 'CSI' as Michael Keppler.
'Ray Donovan' is one of three pilots in the works at Showtime. 'Masters of Sex' and a 'The Andrew Gurland Project' are all in contention for series order at the cable network.
