Kenya Bell, Pageant Queen Charged With Assault, Joins Cast of Basketball Wives
The past three seasons of Miami-filmed "Basketball Wives" have been filled with physical drama. NBA players' former lovers, ex-wives, baby mamas, and fiancés -- rarely any actual wives -- have repeatedly come to blows on the Vh1 reality series. It's why audiences keep tuning in -- over 4 million viewers watched the season three reunion.
In one episode, Evelyn Lozada (current fiancé of Chad Ochocinco and former fiancé of Antonie Walker) and Royce Reed (baby mama of Dwight Howard) threw cocktails in each other's faces. In another, Tami Roman (ex-wife of Kenny Anderson) popped Meeka Claxton (wife of Speedy) in the face.
Season four of "Basketball Wives", which premieres February 2012, is likely to have even more violence and drama. One of two new cast members is Kenya Bell, a former Miss Michigan who was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon. Last May, she reportedly stabbed her then-husband Charlie Bell with a box cutter in front of their two young children in Grand Blanc Township, Michigan.
Although Charlie and Kenya are getting a divorce, the former Golden State Warriors player may make appearance on "Basketball Wives" -- after all he's got his own made-for-TV drama. Earlier this month, Yahoo Sports reported that he showed up drunk to his DUI court date. Save some of that trainweck for the show, guys.
The other new cast member is Kesha Nichols, who was dumped via email by NBA player Richard Jefferson right before their 2009 wedding. The rest of the cast remains the same with the exception of Meeka Claxton, who will not return to "Basketball Wives" for another season.
The ladies are currently filming season four around Miami. They were last spotted at Philippe’s in South Beach, where Shaunie O’Neal's birthday party was being filmed for the show. Apparently, one diva smacked another diva with her clutch. Oh, Basketball Wives.
