Sarah Palin Shopping New Reality Show
Sarah Palin is shopping a new reality show that would follow her husband Todd's snowmobile adventures, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
In 2010, Palin invited cameras to her home for TLC's 'Sarah Palin's Alaska.' However, the network has reportedly passed on the new project. TLTV reports Palin and 'Sara Palin's Alaska' producer Mark Burnett are pitching the program focusing on her husband and his career as a snowmobile racer. A&E Networks, which entered a bidding war with Discovery over 'Sarah Palin's Alaska,' has also passed on the show.
'Sarah Palin's Alaska' cost more than $1 million an episode and the team is asking for a similar payday, TLTV says.
The series premiere of 'Sarah Palin's Alaska' brought in a sizable 5 million viewers for TLC. It dropped to about 3.2 million viewers per episode, but following the finale, there were no plans for a second season.
Though networks don't seem interested in Todd, Palin's hair salon got its own TV special in September: The Beehive was featured in TLC's 'Big Hair Alaska.'
