5 Web Series Worth Watching

5 Web Series Worth Watching

This week, Martin Starr turns up on a new web series about dating and iPhone apps, one Failure Club participant gets an F in failing in my book, Kourtney Kardash struggles to find a fresh topic to discuss with the parents of the world, and we’re still geeking out over Minute Physics.

Dating Rules From My Future Self | Alloy Entertainment has culled together a cast of young people who look like they are fresh off the set of a CW show (probably because some of them are). The series follows the exploits of Lucy (Shiri Appleby), who, upon getting engaged to the (apparently) wrong guy, begins receiving texts from her future self as a means to help right her ship. Party Down fans will delight in the brief, sporadic moments that Martin Starr’s character pops up on the show.

Failure Club | Meg, easily the most charming of the group, performs a short stand-up set at her office Christmas party. We’re really not seeing much failure in her future. Is that a good or bad thing?

Reluctantly Healthy | Judy Greer punches up the breakfast bran muffin with … wait for it. … bacon. This ain’t your grandmother’s web show. No really, it’s not. (The Interweb wasn’t around back then.)

Kourtney’s Mommy Blog | Kourtney films this episode on the set of her The More You Know public service announcement. (Insert dazed look and record-scratching sound.)

Minute Physics | This week’s episode tackles the subject of why some stones are round and others are flat. The topic may sound pedestrian, but trust us, there are always tidbits in these science ditties that you can throw out at your next dinner party. Plus, SMBC’s Zach Weiner guest illustrates!
