'Glee' exec confirms Rachel's dads story
Glee's executive producer Ryan Murphy has confirmed that he is casting two actors to play Rachel's dads.
The pair have been mentioned a number of times in the series and last month reports claimed that the fathers will appear before the end of the current season.
Murphy has now told TV Guide that a collection of actors are interested in the roles.
"I'm currently meeting and talking to [actors]," he said. "So many people are interested in playing them.
"I had no idea when I sent out word to a couple of agents that there would be so much interest. But there is."
However, Murphy revealed that Elton John, who has previously been linked to the role of Rachel's dad, will not be able to take part in the show.
"He is, unfortunately, touring," he said, adding that the fathers are expected to be introduced in February or March.
Lea Michele, who plays Rachel, has previously revealed that she thinks Nathan Lane would be a good choice to play one of the dads.
