Kal Penn is moving from the White House to a considerably less glamorous gig.
"Harold & Kumar" star Penn, who's held on-again, off-again positions with the Obama administration since 2009, has landed the lead role in ABC's upcoming pilot "Prairie Dogs."
Penn will play Neil, an uncool cubicle worker toiling at one of the coolest companies in the world. After being victimized by identity theft and discovering that the thief has created a much better life for himself than Neil has, he engages the thief to help him turn his life around.
Penn also has a recurring role on CBS' "How I Met Your Mother," as Kevin.
