'Glee' creator Ryan Murphy becomes member of TV executive committee
Ryan Murphy has joined the executive committee of the New Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
Murphy is responsible for creating Nip/Tuck as well as co-creating Glee and American Horror Story.
Murphy, who becomes the sixth and final member of the committee, was appointed for a one-year tem by chairman and CEO Bruce Rosenblum, reports Deadline.
Other members in the committee include Gail Berman, Jason Kilar, Steven Lafferty, Steve Mosko and Dana Walden.
Last year, Glee star Naya Rivera defended Murphy amid reports that the creator was clashing with his cast.
Rivera wrote on her Twitter: "I think that the malicious things being written about Ryan Murphy are so sad and false. I'm proud to work for such a talented man!"
