The 64th annual Emmy nominations were announced Thursday morning and Television Academy voters once again showered love on "Breaking Bad," "Downton Abbey," and "30 Rock."
"Mad Men" and mini-series "American Horror Story" were the big leaders, racking up 17 nominations apiece. On the comedy side, "Modern Family" and "Saturday Night Live" continued to flex their muscles, picking up 14 nominations each.
But it wasn't just the tried and true. Some newcomers were able to sneak in, including such freshman shows as "Homeland," "Veep" and "Girls."
