Nicole Scherzinger has claimed that the UK X Factor fans had shown her a "lot of love" at the auditions and has promised that she'll perform during the Live Shows in the autumn.
Speaking at the series nine launch, the former Pussycat Dolls star said that the attitude to the British series was "more laidback" when compared to her time working with Simon Cowell and the Fox network in America on The X Factor USA.
"The X Factor family over here are great. I had fun in America too, but it's a different show over here," she said.
"It's a well-oiled machine in the UK and last year was the first year in the US and that played into it for Simon, me and everyone involved.
"Here it is far more laidback and there's more characters involved."
Speaking about the differences between the acts, Scherzinger said: "Typically in the US we have big diva singers like Whitney [Houston] and Mariah [Carey]. Over here, there's more wit, storytelling and folk-y style music. There's more character and tone to the singers."
Scherzinger last appeared on the UK X Factor two years ago, when she helped put together One Direction with Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh at Boot Camp.
Joking about her lack of credit for her helping hand in their creation, she said: "Those little buggers! I haven't received flowers from them. I'm still waiting!
"It has been crazy to see how massive they are in the US. Just yesterday I was remembering how we put those guys together. It's an incredible feeling to feel like you were part of something like that at the very beginning."
Scherzinger was coy when asked about her relationship with F1 star Lewis Hamilton, but did reveal that her schedule with the show and Hamilton's racing commitments meant her move to the UK probably wouldn't help them see any more of each other.
"My job takes up most of the time and a lot of shows will air at the same time as [his] races. We'll try our best.," she said.
The X Factor UK starts on Saturday, August 18 at 8pm on ITV1.
