X Factor boss Simon Cowell is reportedly facing a dilemma over which side of the Atlantic to focus The X Factor on.
The X Factor launched its first US series last year, but struggled to live up to all of the hype.
And despite a new judging panel this year, including Britney Spears, ratings have continued to struggle.
The UK show is also seeing declining ratings, leaving Simon having to split his time between both shows.
“Simon wants the show to be the best it can be and he knows he has to be heavily involved with the editing for that to happen,” a source explains.
Referring to the UK series, which saw Simon make a brief cameo appearance last month, the insider added: “It’s no coincidence the ratings were up when he was on the show.”
The supposed insider continued: “The trouble is, he wants to give 100 per cent to both UK and US series.
“He wants to be in both places at once, and the only way he can do that is by continually flying back and forth – which would not be good for his health.
“It’s a real dilemma and it’s causing him some sleepless nights.”
Both The X Factor USA and UK go live this month, adding to the problems of having to maintain both shows.
This year saw Simon return to judge non Britain’s Got Talent, could he back on The X Factor UK next year too?
