Celeb Big Brother: Ruddock was 'last minute Jim Davidson replacement'
Neil Ruddock was reportedly drafted in as a last minute replacement for Jim Davidson on Celebrity Big Brother.
The former footballer entered the Channel 5 house last night (January 3) along with the likes of Rylan Clark and Frankie Dettori.
However, Ruddock is said to have been contacted just hours before the launch, after it was decided that Davidson could not take part.
Jim Davidson had been arrested the day before as part of Operation Yewtree, the investigation into the alleged historical sexual abuse by Jimmy Savile and others.
The hunt to find a replacement for Davidson reportedly took several hours on Wednesday, as it was initially unclear whether he could take part if he had not been charged.
"It was not cut and dried what the right course of action was," a source told The Guardian.
Neil 'Razor' Ruddock was previously a contestant on I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! in 2004, while also taking part in Celebrity Total Wipeout in 2011.
