Peter Kay amuses 2.5m on Channel 4
Back-to-back Peter Kay shows meant Channel 4 more than doubled the primetime audience share it achieved last week, according to the latest overnight data.
Last Friday, the broadcaster attracted just 3.7% of the total audience, but that figure was boosted to 7.5% as Peter Kay's Top 43 Greatest Comedy Moments nabbed 2.51m viewers (11%) from 9pm. The comedy special took a further 197k (1.2%) on timeshift. Peter Kay: Live at the Bolton Albert Halls followed with 2.35m (18.4%) and a further 279k (4.1%) on +1.
Earlier on Channel 4, Come Dine With Me continued to draw upwards of a million viewers, tallying 1.14m (4.8%) from 8pm.
On ITV1, Wild Britain with Ray Mears entertained 3.23m (13.8%) at 8pm, and 8.41m (34.8%) saw Fatima's exit from I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!
I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! Now! scored 782k (4.7%) on ITV2 from 10.30pm, but the biggest multichannel numbers of the night belonged to Foyle's War at 9pm on ITV3. The detective drama drummed up 1.06m (4.6%).
The Two Ronnies Sketchbook opened BBC One's evening of comedy with 3.32m (14.1%) at 8.30pm. Have I Got News For You and Live at the Apollo followed with 4.68m (18.8%) and 3.22m (13.3%) respectively.
Mastermind quizzed 2.02m (8.6%) on BBC Two, before The Accidental Husband and Coast reduced the broadcaster's figures to 1.14m (4.7%) and 700k (2.9%).
On Channel 5, Ice Road Truckers stayed strong with 1.24m (5.3%), though a screening of Black Hawk Down drew just 707k (3.5%).
ITV1 dominated primetime with a 30.2% audience share. BBC One followed with 18.9%. In a reversal of Friday night ratings protocol, Channel 4 came third with 7.5% while BBC Two and Channel 5 took 5.9% and 3.2%.
