Maria Fowler has denied reports that she has Poly Implant Prothese (PIP) breast implants.
It had been reported that Fowler was one of the 40,000 UK women given the implants supplied by a French company, which have been the subject of a health scare due to reports of a high rupture rate.
The former Only Way Is Essex star wrote on Twitter: "Why are gossip websites saying I have pip implants.... ?? I suggest they take it down asap...."
She added to one site: "I do NOT have pip implants. Your story is misleading."
Fowler's TOWIE colleague Lauren Pope revealed earlier this week that she was fitted with PIP implants.
"I just thought like, how the hell has this happened?" she said. "How can 40,000 women be in the same situation now; where we'll either not have an operation and keep them in us and think it might be fine, it might not."
Fowler this week confirmed her exit from The Only Way Is Essex, along with cast member Harry Derbidge.
