The 'Heart Skips a Beat' singer, who appeared in the last UNICEF TV charity match in 2010, announced his inclusion in Robbie Williams's celebrity England team on Twitter.
The Xtra Factor presenter wrote: "Have been confirmed I'm doing SOCCER AID 2012 again!! Buzzing!! Good times!!! Zidane & Figo watch out!! This year its ENGLAND's YEAR!!!"
Hollywood star Michael Sheen, Marvin Humes and Aston Merrygold from JLS, Gordon Ramsay, DJ Jamie Theakston and footballers Teddy Sheringham and Edwin van der Sar have already signed up to the project.
England will be seeking revenge in the contest, after the Rest of the World claimed its first ever tournament victory in 2010.
Soccer Aid will commence on Sunday, March 27, airing live for the duration on ITV1.
