'The Voice' Australia premiere date announced
The premiere date for the Australian version of The Voice has been revealed.
The Channel Nine reality television show, which features Seal, Joel Madden, Delta Goodrem and Keith Urban as coaches, was announced earlier this year.
According to The Daily Telegraph and AAP, the first episode of The Voice will air at 6.30pm on Sunday, April 15. The debut show will reportedly show the first round of blind auditions, when the judges listen to the contestants perform without being able to see their face.
It was recently revealed that Aussie singer Ricki-Lee Coulter will be a guest mentor on The Voice alongside Seal, while Savage Garden frontman Darren Hayes has agreed to mentor alongside Goodrem.
Benji Madden will be flying to Sydney to join forces with his twin brother Joel, while Megan Washington will mentor Urban's contestants.
The premiere of the talent competition will be followed by the annual Logie Awards. It has already been revealed that the Logie Awards will clash with Channel Seven's premiere of the 2012 series of Dancing with the Stars and the first episode of Ten's MasterChef.
