'2 Broke Girls' debuts with 1.1m for E4
US sitcom 2 Broke Girls made a highly impressive start on E4 last night, overnight data indicates.
Following the lives of roommates Max and Caroline, the comedy premiered with 824k (3.5%) at 9pm and 253k (1.3%) on E4 +1.
The Big Bang Theory gave the show a huge lead after an 8pm hour double-bill secured 1.23m (5.3%) and 1.24m (5.1%). The episodes added 245k (1.1%) and 360k (1.5%) on timeshift.
However, Celebrity Juice remained Thursday's most-watched multichannel show, grabbing a colossal 1.67m (8.8%) at 10pm (+1: 286k/2.6%).
Nevertheless, E4 won the night with 2.9% (+1: 1%), ahead of ITV2's 2.6% (+1: 0.3%), and even matched Channel 5.
Russell Howard's Good News aired on BBC Three with a relatively mediocre 712k (3.1%) at 9pm.
However, remarkably the stand-up clip show attracted a further 458k (12.1%) at 12.30am, winning its slot against every other show at that time of night.
