Bryan Fuller has denied reports that his Munsters TV reboot has been axed.
News site Deadline claimed on Monday (October 1) that Mockingbird Lane was unlikely to receive a series order.
However, Fuller took to Twitter to deny the report, writing: "NBC just informed me the Deadline article regarding Mockingbird Lane was Dead Wrong. Stay tuned for updates!"
The Mockingbird Lane pilot starred Eddie Izzard as Grandpa, Jerry O'Connell as Herman Munster and Portia de Rossi as his wife Lily. Bryan Singer (The Usual Suspects, X-Men) joined the project in November 2011 as director and producer.
Star O'Connell has described the reinvention as "darker" than the original Munsters, while Izzard has called Mockingbird Lane "more elegant" than the '60s series, citing the show's "twisted-dramatic" tone.
