Sir David Jason has announced plans to release his autobiography.
The legendary British actor revealed that he aims to bring out his memoirs in time for Christmas 2014.
He said that he hopes the book will give fans a way to "share the journey" he has experienced in his 50 years in showbusiness.
"Over the past 50 years I have had the fortunate experience of working with some of the finest actors and writers in the world," the 72-year-old said.
"This book will be an opportunity for me to share the journey through my life and career with the people who have been most generous with their support and kindness - the great British public."
Random imprint Century's publishing director Ben Dunn added: "Like so many millions of Brits, I grew up watching and listening, laughing and crying to David's on-screen genius - from Del Boy to Dangermouse to Detective Inspector Jack Frost, his canon of work is unsurpassed and I am truly honoured to be publishing a memoir that I have no doubt will be as golden as everything else he's touched."
The hardback edition of the autobiography will be released in autumn 2014, followed by a paperback in early 2015.
Jason is best known for his roles in several hugely popular TV series including Only Fools and Horses, A Touch of Frost, Open All Hours and The Darling Buds of May.
He also provided the voice for a series of cartoon characters, including Count Duckula, Dangermouse and The BFG.
The actor was awarded an OBE in 1993, followed by a knighthood in 2005.
