Fringe star Joshua Jackson has hinted at the show's final episodes.
The actor told Entertainment Weekly that a "sense of dread" will run throughout the Fox sci-fi drama's twelve remaining episodes.
"We have a scene - with a character who I will not name, doing a thing I can't tell you about - where [a dangerous] scenario plays out," he teased. "One break from the routine leads to disaster. I mean, really f**king major disaster. And if that sense of dread permeates the show this year, I think that's really good."
The fifth and final season of Fringe has relocated the show's characters to the future world of 2036, but Jackson - who plays Peter Bishop - promised that the series will continue to explore plot points from older episodes.
"The thing that we reveal in the episode that we're shooting right now is... if you're geeked out on the mythology of the show, it is going to be one of those knock-your-socks-off moments," he promised.
