"SOA crushes all three broadcast networks in key demos second week in a row," Sutter tweeted. "No more niche, bitches."
It's very rare for a cable show to beat the networks. But as Sutter noted, "SOA" -- FX's top-rated show -- has done it for two consecutive weeks.
In the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic Tuesday night, the biker drama drew a 2.3 rating. NBC's "Parenthood" and CBS's "Vegas" each drew a 2.0, and ABC's "Private Practice" received a 1.6.
Last week, "Sons of Anarchy" scored a 2.9 rating in the demo. "Vegas" scored a 2.1, "Parenthood" a 1.7, and "Private Practice" a 1.6.
