"Ask Obama Live: An MTV Interview with the President,” will air at 5 p.m. ET and be tape delayed until 5 p.m. PT Friday. The 30-minute special will air on MTV, MTV2, mtvU, MTV Hits, and MTV Jams, and on MTV.com and MTV’s mobile platform.
MTV News correspondent Sway Calloway will sit down with Obama while correspondent Andrew Jenks fields questions from voters on a Washington, D.C. campus.
It was during an MTV interview 20 years ago that Bill Clinton fielded the infamous "boxers or briefs" question. But don't expect a repeat: many of Obama's questioners this time around weren't alive then to see it.
Obama will appear on MTV two days after he goes after slightly older voters by stopping by "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno."
MTV has invited Mitt Romney to sit down for an interview, but he has not yet accepted.
