'Dancing On Ice': Matthew Wolfenden 'shaken up' after injuring partner
Dancing On Ice contestant Matthew Wolfenden has been left "shook up" after injuring his professional partner Nina Ulanova in training.
The Emmerdale actor revealed on Twitter that he accidentally dropped his DOI colleague while rehearsing a lift on Thursday (January 19).
"Had a shocker of a training session today!" he wrote. "Dropped @NinkaUlanova out of a big lift that's in our new routine, she's just a bit winded... but it shook me up a lot, just shows how dangerous this ice skating can be! She's a little hard nut though! X x"
When his DOI rival Heidi Range asked if the pair were hurt in the slip-up, Wolfenden replied: "I'm ok, it was @ninkaulanova who took the brunt of the fall! She was fine though. Shook me up though!"
Ulanova also mentioned the incident on her Twitter, writing: "Great session with @MrMattWolfenden some nice lifts in! Dangerous? Yes! But I love it! Give up not in my dictionary!"
Wolfenden - who finished top of the judges' scoreboard in last week's show - has ruled out skating topless during Dancing On Ice.
Dancing On Ice continues Sunday (January 22) at 6.10pm on ITV1.
