Can TLC's 'Sorority Girls' Spread the Greek Life to Great Britain?
The cast of the network's new reality series premiering Tuesday at 9 p.m. finds that pickings may be slim for its UK pledge class.
TLC’s new reality series, Sorority Girls, attempts to spread the American collegiate tradition of Greek life to the UK by establishing its first-ever sorority – Sigma Gamma.
Cameras document the social experiment 24/7 as American sisters search to find a British pledge class that represents the values and character traits they’re looking for in its sorority’s five open spots.
“First and foremost, I really want well-rounded girls,” the sorority’s president, Amelia, says. “Someone who takes their studies seriously…”
Come on, we all know what you’re really looking for. Amelia later adds, “Overall, someone who’s really fun and wants to have a good time.” Bingo!
