Michael Jackson tribute helps 'Glee' to season high for Fox
A Michael Jackson-themed Glee episode scored highly in the ratings last night, Nielsen overnight data reveals.
The Fox musical comedy hit a season high of 9m (3.6) for the Jackson tribute episode.
Straight after Glee, the latest New Girl pulled in 7.2m (3.5), slightly up on its last instalment a fortnight ago.
After a long eight-week hiatus, Ringer returned to The CW with just 1.4m (0.6), prior to which 1.4m (0.7) watched 90210.
Rather than seeing a boost in viewers, Celebrity Wife Swap's finale mustered 5.6m (1.9), an all-time low for the ABC reality show.
Last Man Standing repeats in the 8pm hour had 5.6m (1.5) and 5.7m (1.7), while 5.4m (1.1) watched an old edition of Body of Proof at 10pm.
For NBC, The Biggest Loser held up with 6.1m (2.1) between 8pm and 10pm, then the audience dropped for a Parenthood rerun, which amused 2.4m (0.7).
Elsewhere, catchups of NCIS (12.9m/2.0), NCIS: Los Angeles (11.1m/1.7) and Unforgettable (7.8m/1.4) helped CBS to a runner-up primetime finish behind Fox.
