'The Simpsons: Tapped Out' announced: Free-to-play iOS game
The Simpsons: Tapped Out has been announced by EA.
The free-to-play title has been developed in collaboration with show writers, animators and voice talent.
It sees Homer accidentally cause a meltdown that wipes out Springfield and scatters its residents.
As well as rebuilding the town and finding characters from the show, other activities include making Apu working long shifts at the Kwik-E-Mart, growing Tomaccos and partying with Duffman.
The Simpsons: Tapped Out will be available for iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPad, iPad 2, iPod touch 3 (3rd generation) and iPod touch (4th generation), and requires an internet connection to play.
A spokesperson for EA has told Digital Spy that no release date has been set.
Simpsons creator Matt Groening was recently awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame ahead of the 500th episode of his hit animated sitcom.
