England international football draws 6.5m on ITV1
More than 6.5 million viewers watched live international football between England and the Netherlands last night, according to overnight data.
The ITV1 coverage was watched by an impressive 6.54m (27.9%) from 7.30pm.
The other terrestrial channels suffered as a result - BBC One's MasterChef was down by one million, serving only 3.76m (15.2%).
Channel 4's One Born Every Minute took 2.85m (11.5%) and 501k (2.8%) on timeshift, with Daddy Daycare seen by 784k (3.3%) from 8pm (+1: 138k/0.6%).
NCIS grabbed 1.7m (6.9%) in the 9pm hour for Channel 5. Earlier, Big Body Squad had 1.12m (4.7%).
Meanwhile, BBC Two aired The Fisherman's Apprentice with Monty Halls (1.68m/7.1%) and Wonderland (981k/4%).
Overall, ITV1 easily secured primetime victory with 25.3% (+1: 0.3%) ahead of BBC One's 18.8%. Channel 4 earned 6.1%, beating Channel 5 (5.2%) and BBC Two (4.9%).
On the multichannels, ITV2's The Only Way Is Essex improved week-on-week by appealing to 1.17m (6.2%).
