Krysten Ritter, 'Repo Men' writer Eric Garcia developing MTV drama
Krysten Ritter has started developing a new drama for MTV.
The network ordered a pilot of Cassandra French's Finishing School For Boys, which is based on a novel of the same name by Eric Garcia.
Garcia is now working with Ritter on the television adaptation, Deadline reports.
The show focuses on Cassie French, a bright young woman who lands her dream job as a Hollywood lawyer but can't find any men willing to enter a committed relationship with her.
Eventually, she ends up locking a man in her basement to train him to become the perfect man.
This is the first project Ritter has sold as a producer. As an actress, she has appeared in shows such as Veronica Mars, Gilmore Girls and Breaking Bad and will star in ABC's upcoming comedy Don't Trust The B---- In Apartment 23, which premieres in April.
Meanwhile, Garcia penned the screenplay for Repo Men and wrote the Anonymous Rex book series and novel Matchstick Men.
Other projects in the works at MTV include a comedy show from Jennifer Lopez and a remake of British series The Inbetweeners.
