Syfy is moving ahead with its Booster Gold series.
The DC Comics adaptation has been added to the channel's production slate alongside True Blood writer Charlaine Harris's Grave Sight.
It also joins the adaptation of Platinum Studios comic Grey Legion, a series spinning out of 2011 action thriller The Adjustment Bureau and a project based on Stephen King's Eyes of the Dragon novel.
Syfy ordered a pilot script for a show based on DC's 25th century superhero last year.
Fringe writer Andrew Kreisberg was reported to have delivered the screenplay earlier in the week.
The show will star Michael Jon Carter, the morally dubious, publicity hungry hero who previously appeared in the final season of Smallville in the episode 'Booster'.
