NBC Orders Anne Heche Comedy 'Save Me' to Series
NBC has ordered 13 episodes of the Anne Heche comedy "Save Me" as it continues to announce its upcoming lineup for next season.
The single-camera comedy from writer and excecutive producer John Scott Shepherd finds Heche playing Beth, a woman who lets herself go while in a broken marriage. She goes through a transformation in which she becomes the best version of herself and creates miracles.
It also stars Michael Landes, Alex Breckenridge (recently of "American Horror Story,") Heather Burns, Madison Davenport, and Lamman Rucker.
The production from Sony and Original Film & Television is also executive produced by Scott Winant, Neal Moritz, and Vivian Cannon.
NBC announced last month that it has ordered the Matthew Perry pilot "Go On" to series. It had previously committed to the drama "Hannibal."
The network will announce the rest of its lineup for next season on Sunday, ahead of its upfront presentation to advertisers Monday.
