Guillermo del Toro has given an update on the Hulk TV series.
The Pacific Rim director's take on the Marvel Comics character was first announced in 2010.
"I have had a couple of minutes with Marvel since Avengers and they have the screenplay [for the TV pilot]," he told MTV.
"We're waiting for a particular writer to do a rewrite on the pilot. That's where we are right now. But we're still on."
Del Toro also voiced his appreciation of Joss Whedon's Avengers movie, which saw Mark Ruffalo assume the role of Bruce Banner/The Hulk.
"I think Avengers is beautiful," he said. "[They gave] a movie like that - that size, that scope - to a guy that has the tone and the pulse of those things dead on."
ABC president Paul Lee announced back in May that the Hulk TV series will likely form part of the network's 2013 schedule.
