A Sleepy Hollow television series is reportedly being touted.
The Legend of Sleepy Hollow was a 19th-century Washington Irving short story which went on to inspire a 1999 Tim Burton film treatment starring Johnny Depp and Christina Ricci.
Deadline reports that Star Trek writers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, along with 20th Century Fox, are currently pitching a TV show based on the supernatural story.
The series would apparently be set in the modern day, with Ichabod Crane partnering Sleepy Hollow's female sheriff to solve mysterious happenings in the town.
Kurtzman and Orci are planning to write the script alongside the little-known Phillip Iscove, who came up with the idea.
Total Recall director Len Wiseman, who was also recently linked to movie adaptation The Darkness, is attached to direct.
