The second-year comedy will tip its hat to it's new ABC Tuesday night lead-in with a romantic plot point for Krysten Ritter's character.
ABC's sophomore comedy Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23 is tipping its hat to its new Tuesday night companion, Happy Endings, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
The comedy from Nahnatchka Khan and David Hemingson will feature a crossover to the third-year comedy in its Oct. 30 Halloween episode when June (Dreama Walker) has some fun creating a YouTube video featuring a certain bitch.
"It's basically a video like fans make on YouTube with clips of The X-Files where Mulder (David Duchovny) and Scully (Gillian Anderson) fall in love," Khan told THR on Tuesday at a Paley Center event featuring both shows. "June has made a video of Chloe (Krysten Ritter) and one of the Happy Endings guys falling in love."
The comedies relocate from Wednesdays to Tuesdays starting Oct. 23 at 9 p.m. with the third season of Happy Endings followed by James Van Der Beek starrer Apartment 23.
"They were super nice and let us shoot a little thing with them. It's cool," Khan says of the show's new lead-in. "You'll have to see who she chooses."
The question remains: Is Chloe a Dave (Zachary Knighton), Max (Adam Pally) or Brad (Damon Wayans Jr.) type of girl in June's eyes? Hit the comments with your thoughts.
