The Liverpudlian singer was seen shaking on stage during his first audition, but since then many have claimed it was all for the cameras.
As well as being a seasoned cruise ship entertainer, it’s now been revealed Chris also appeared in panto as a Genie.
An ex-colleague told The Sun: “Many of us who have worked with him cannot believe some of the rubbish he is coming out with… He was arrogant and cocky. I never saw a trace of nerves.”
It was reported by the Daily Star this weekend that Chris had also been attacked by his finalists backstage over his apparent “diva” antics.
A source told the tabloid: “He’s not particularly liked backstage because he’s a diva and thinks he’s the star of the show.”
The supposed insider added to the newspaper this week: “And let’s face it, he’s not that great when he gets out on stage either.
“Most people reckon his nerves are a complete act too because it’s funny how he’s shaking one minute and then suddenly he’s fine.”
