CBS plans to get totally baked with its latest project.
The network is adapting the British culinary competition "The Great British Bake-Off" for American audiences, the network said Wednesday.
The series, tentatively titled "Bake Off," will hit the airwaves next year and feature "skilled amateur Americans competing in baking challenges with one ultimately being crowned the winner," according to the network.
The British series, which wrapped its third season Tuesday night, has proved to be a hit for BBC, and has spawned spinoffs in Denmark, Sweden, Belgium and Poland, and was recently sold to other international markets.
Produced by Love Productions USA, "Bake Off" is executive-produced by Richard McKerrow ("The Great British Weather," "Kidnapped by the Kids").
