Jennifer Metcalfe has quit new celebrity diving show Splash! after a week of dodging rumours about her love life.
ITV has confirmed the Hollyoaks actress has left the reality programme after her well-documented split with Dancing on Ice skater Sylvain Longchambon.
The 29-year-old star has been facing rumours that her ex Longchambon - who last week allegedly dumped her over the telephone - has feelings for his new celebrity partner Samia Ghadie.
Metcalfe - who met Longchambon when she was performing on the show in 2011 - was thought to be distraught on being dumped and hearing of the Coronation Street star's new friendship with her ex.
It's believed she doesn't want to go head-to-head in a reality TV war or be seen as a "Samia copycat" by appearing in her bikini, although ITV has not explained why she chose to leave.
Metcalfe is thought to be gearing up for a showdown with her actress rival at the National Television Awards at the end of the month.
