'Curb Your Enthusiasm' Could Bring Peace to the Middle East
Larry David has never been accused of being a diplomat: 'social assassin' is a far more appropriate way of describing the 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' creator's people skills. But now, at least if constitutional lawyer Alan Dershowitz has anything to say about, an episode of 'Curb' might help bring peace to the Middle East.
Dershowitz recently told The Columbia Current that he sent a copy of 'Curb''s 'Palestinian Chicken' episode to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and suggested that he watch it with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas. "Maybe if they both get a good laugh, they can begin a negotiating process," Dershowitz told the Current.
In the episode, Larry and Jeff become infatuated with a Palestinian chicken restaurant (and Larry starts sleeping with its manager Shara) but when the restaurant launches plans to open a new location next to a Jewish deli, their friends become outraged and protest against the expansion. In this clip, Larry and Jeff come to get some delicious chicken, but instead find a heated, two-sided protest, and they're absurdly forced to choose between their heritage and hunger.
