'Idol' Scotty McCreery heads to 'Hart of Dixie,' Justin Hartley joins him
No, Scotty McCreery won't be playing yet another suitor for Rachel Bilson's Zoe Hart when he hits up "Hart of Dixie" in an April 23 episode. Instead, the "American Idol" winner will play himself, performing his hit "The Trouble With Girls" during a scene that heavily features Zoe and George (Scott Porter).
Hmmm. More love triangle "trouble," perhaps? We'd guess yes, given the scoop we got from the show's creator, Leila Gerstein, last week.
The news of McCreery's appearance was first reported by the Huffington Post.
We must admit, we're a little relieved to hear he's just performing, not stealing hearts, in the episode. Zoe is already swooning over George, Wade (Wilson Bethel), and newcomer Jesse, played by the super-dreamy Justin Hartley.
Yes, "Smallville's" Oliver Queen is hitting up Bluebell, too. TVLine reports that Hartley's character, a war hero, turns up the southern charm in his first return to The CW since Clark Kent took flight.
