Except there won't be 24. Ryan Seacrest announced the judges will make it a top 25 this year. And then Tyler mooned fellow judges Jennifer Lopez and Randy Jackson and plunged into a pool.
Next week, one of four male contenders already booted from the competition will be reinstated, meaning 13 men and 12 women will begin live performances on Wednesday.
The contenders for the 25th spot: 6-foot-9 music teacher Jermaine Jones, Michael Jackson-soundalike David Leathers Jr., Johnny Keyser (who Lopez called a future star after his initial audition) and Richie Law, the cowboy who ruffled some feathers with his Hollywood Week bossiness.
Meanwhile, the top 24 semifinalists: Deandre Brackensick, Adam Brock, Baylie Brown, Hollie Cavanaugh, Hallie Day, Colton Dixon, Heejun Han, Creighton Fraker, Eben Franckewitz, Reed Grimm, Jennifer Hirsh, Haley Johnson, Skylar Laine, Joshua Ledet, Chase Likens, Shannon Magrane, Aaron Marcellus, Phil Phillips, Jeremy Rosado, Jessica Sanchez, Chelsea Sorrell, Elise Testone, Erika Van Pelt and Brielle Von Huegel.
