BBC One completed a clean sweep over ITV in primetime last night, overnight data has revealed.
Let's Dance for Sport Relief entertained 5.08m (23.5%) from 7.10pm, then Dale Winton's In It To Win It returned with 5.54m (24.5%), and 5.18m (24%) watched Casualty at 9.20pm.
Meanwhile, Take Me Out (4.27m/17.6%) continued its decline at 8pm, but did manage 291k (1.3%) on ITV1 +1. Take Me Out: The Gossip had 662k (3%) on ITV2.
Back on ITV1, The Jonathan Ross Show followed with a modest 2.65m (11.9%) at 9pm (+1: 354k/1.9%), down considerably week-on-week.
Surprisingly, Harry Hill's comedy filler You've Been Framed (4.57m/22.3%) at 7pm (+1: 210k/1%) was more popular than his beloved TV Burp (4.56m/21.4%) which aired at 7.30pm (+1: 270k/1.2%).
Elsewhere, The Bank Job rumbled on with a steady audience of 1.11m (5.2%) for Channel 4 at 9pm, but 8pm's Big Fat Gypsy Weddings repeat was more viewer-appetising, drawing 1.16m (5.2%) at 8pm and 184k (1.4%) an hour later.
US drama spin-off CSI: NY was Channel 5's best-rated show of the night with 1.29m (7%) at 10pm, after NCIS (952k/4.2%) and ordinary CSI (914k/4.2%) both slipped under a million viewers.
Over on BBC Two, documentary duo The Story of Light Entertainment (1.57m/7.5%) and The Story of Musicals (1.67m/7.5%) continued to perform solidly, before 1.59m (7.2%) tuned in for I'm a Popstar! in the 9pm hour.
Overall, BBC One overwhelmed ITV1 in primetime with a share of 23.8% against 15.3% (+1: 1.2%). BBC Two claimed third place with 7.3%, far ahead of Channel 5's 4.9% (+1: 0.2%) and Channel 4's 4.8% (+1: 0.8%).
Popular Martin Clunes drama Doc Martin was the pick of the multichannel shows, with 1.05m (4.7%) for an old episode on ITV3.
John Simm's masterclass in Doctor Who's 'The Sound of Drums', originally screened in 2007, was enjoyed by 683k (3.1%) on BBC Three at 7.50pm.
