Tulisa Contostavlos: 'X Factor will likely have shocks this year'
Tulisa Contostavlos has predicted that X Factor producers will aim to provide "shocks" for this year's series.
The X Factor judge warned fans that the show will likely "reinvent" itself in order to remain fresh and compete with Strictly Come Dancing when it returns.
"Every day is a competition whether you're in television or music - you're always fighting to be the best," she told The Sun.
"You need to keep reinventing yourself and changing things up and keeping people entertained. So I'm sure they will do something that either shocks people or just gets the viewers excited this year."
Contostavlos is expected to return as a judge for her second year with a rumoured pay increase to £500,000.
Gary Barlow has confirmed his return for the latest run, with Louis Walsh also expected to sign up soon, although Kelly Rowland will not be a judge this series.
Simon Cowell has reportedly championed former judge Dannii Minogue as his preferred choice for Rowland's replacement.
Tulisa Contostavlos has spoken of her approval of Minogue's possible appointment.
The former N-Dubz singer is currently number one in the iTunes UK chart with her debut solo single 'Young'.
