MTV Closes an Amazing Year in Animation With the Season Finales of "Mike Judge's Beavis and Butt-Head" and "Good Vibes,"
As the year comes to an end, MTV is celebrating the season finales of its hit animated series of "Mike Judge's Beavis and Butt-Head" and "Good Vibes" on Thursday, December 29 beginning at 10:00p.m. ET/PT. After an amazing return to the MTV airwaves, America's favorite pair of lunkheads are closing out the season, hopelessly trying to finally seal the deal with the ladies. Back to back episode "Good Vibes" follow at 10:30p.m. ET/PT, featuring a special appearance by the band OK Go.
The finale episode of Beavis and Butt-Head kicks off the night at 10:00p.m., with the dim-witted horndogs finding themselves in a waking dream of ladies, but they're still not getting any action. They somehow end up trapped in their favorite elevator with a smokin' hot chick, but when it comes to scoring, these guys aren't going anywhere.
The night continues at 10:30pm with the first of two episodes of "Good Vibes" as Woodie loses a surf competition to Turk, he thinks he's lost his "stoke." The boys turn to surf legend, and Woodie's hero, Duke Sanchez. As luck would have it, the very wave that made Duke famous - the Dongabunga - is arriving early to Playa Del Toro, and if Woodie can conquer it, not only will he get his "stoke" back but he'll become a hero in his own right.
Then at 11:00p.m. the season finale event continues with a second episode, featuring a special appearance by the band OK Go. Babs worries that she has been too lax as a parent after being called into the principal's office because Mondo has chosen his college applications by the "slut to teacher ratio." When the Oceanus music festival comes to Playa, Babs takes it as an opportunity to step up her parenting skills. Though the night starts out with Mondo on a short leash - literally - it ends with Babs getting him backstage to see OK GO, and majorly impress Jeena.
In 1993, Mike Judge (creator of "Beavis and Butt-Head") and MTV knocked their heads together and launched a cartoon series starring a couple of lunkheads and unwittingly started an animated pop culture revolution. Now, Beavis and Butt-Head are back on MTV to unleash upon music videos, "Jersey Shore," viral videos and more.
"Good Vibes," follows transplanted Jersey boy Mondo (voiced by Josh Gad, "The Book of Mormon") and his best bud Woodie (voiced by Adam Brody, "The O.C."), as they surf the biggest waves, hit the wildest parties and chase the prettiest girls in Play Del Toro - a colorful California beach community.
The all-star ensemble cast also features Debi Mazar ("Entourage") as 'Babs' Mondo's mom; Alan Tudyk ("Suburgatory," "Serenity") as 'Lonnie,' a burnt-out but wise beach bum; Danny McBride ("Eastbound & Down") as 'Ms. Teets,' a massively overweight and inappropriate human sexuality teacher; Olivia Thirlby ("Bored to Death") as 'Jeena,' the beautiful girl of Mondo's dreams; Jake Busey ("Starship Troopers," "The Good Guys") as 'Turk,' an obnoxious local surfer and bully; and Tony Hale ("Arrested Development) as 'Wadska,' a charmingly nerdy and delusional friend.
"Good Vibes" was created by David Gordon Green ("Pineapple Express," "Your Highness") and is animated by Six Point Harness. Along with Green, executive producers are Tom Brady ("The Simpsons"), Tom Werner ("Roseanne," "That 70's Show"), Mike Clements ("Life and Times of Tim," "Are You There Vodka, It's Me Chelsea") and Brad Ableson ("The Simpsons").
MTV To Air Two All New Back-To-Back Episodes of "Good Vibes" Beginning at 10:30pm ET/PT
