Lindsay Lohan to sing in 'SNL' opening
Lindsay Lohan plans to sing in her opening monologue on tonight's episode of Saturday Night Live.
The actress was announced as host last week, after she made repeated calls to show creator Lorne Michaels for the chance.
TMZ reports that Lohan is planning to pull out all the stops for her return to the sketch comedy show. In the monologue, Lohan will make references to her recent drug-related troubles, including her arrests and community service sentences.
Several cast members from the show will apparently be joining her on stage for the musical number.
Sources close to the actress say Lohan is using SNL as a platform to show that she has a sense of humour about herself and her legal troubles. In a recent interview she commented that Saturday Night Live was the perfect venue to poke fun at herself.
Lohan has also invited celebrity friends to make cameos on the show, including late night host Jimmy Fallon. There is no confirmation of who her guests will include.
