The Voice's Shields Brothers: 'We feel like punks who broke into show'
The Voice band The Shields Brothers have said that they are grateful to have been given the chance to perform the show.
Punk rock siblings Rory and Tristan Shields became a member of Team Cee Lo on Monday night (February 27) after their energetic rendition of 'Dancing with Myself' by Billy Idol.
Speaking to reporters this week, Rory said: "We feel like it's pretty incredible that we even got the chance to be on the show. We feel like we are punks that have snuck in the back door and somehow broken into the show.
"It doesn't make any sense! Normally this isn't for our genre of music so it's just been incredible."
Rory and Tristan told reporters that they began performing together five years ago and decided to audition for The Voice when the gigs began to "dry up", saying the impact of the audition on their Twitter followers had been incredible.
"I think that America really loves rock and roll which is why they loved heating punched in the face by it from us!" said Tristan.
"I think the fan base was there, they just didn't realise it!"
