Tina Fey planned 'Mean Girls' reunion with Lindsay Lohan on 'SNL'
Tina Fey had originally planned a short Mean Girls reunion with Lindsay Lohan on Saturday Night Live at the weekend.
Lohan stepped in as guest host on SNL last weekend (March 3) for the fourth time, during which she mocked her own recent legal troubles and rehab visits.
Mean Girls was written by Tina Fey in 2004, where she also starred as teacher Sharon Norbury. Lohan appeared in the lead role of Cady Heron in the teen comedy.
Fey was due to perform a skit featuring the characters during Lohan's opening monologue, but was forced to cancel her appearance at the last minute when her children fell ill.
"Tina was committed to doing the monologue with Lindsay but both of her children got sick. She was unable to participate as planned," her representative said.
Lindsay Lohan was praised by SNL castmembers Taran Killam and Bobby Moynihan for her performance.
