'Excess Baggage' winners announced
Ajay Rochester and Matthew Palmer have won Excess Baggage.
The Australian television presenter, who is best known for her role as the former host of The Biggest Loser, was teamed up with regular man Palmer in the reality weight loss series.
Rochester and Palmer scored 102.8 points for their combined weight loss, body fat loss, waist loss and fitness levels, beating other celebrity finalists Darryn Lyons, Robert DiPierdomenico, Kevin Federline and their partners.
The duo won $100,000 (£65,000), half of which will go towards Rochester's chosen charity No Hate Campaign.
After their defeat, Rochester wrote on her Twitter page: "@mattpalmerEB we did it matty….all those extra workouts…no one will ever know how hard we worked! Oh wait! We won! yes they will!!!! (sic)."
Shortly after Excess Baggage premiered, the Nine Network passed it over to digital channel Go! because of poor viewer ratings. Rochester slammed the network for giving up on the show so easily, telling them to "dig deep", "fight" and "have a little faith".
