'X Factor' Dermot O'Leary: 'I love The Voice UK'
Dermot O'Leary has admitted that he is a fan of The Voice UK.
The X Factor host revealed that boss Simon Cowell, whose other show Britain's Got Talent is competing with The Voice UK, would probably be a fan if he created it.
"I loved The Voice, I honestly thought it was terrific. I especially thought Tom Jones and Jessie J were incredible," O'Leary told the Daily Star Sunday.
"I want the show to do well. I think it is good for TV and I also think it's good for The X Factor because it will make us up our game.
"Simon may say there's no room for another singing show but I'm sure he'd think differently if he had come up with the idea."
Cowell described the BBC show as a "wake-up call" for his ITV formats. BGT was said to be in chaos prior to last night's show after he demanded last-minute re-edits.
Both shows have enjoyed huge ratings, although ITV has apparently banned its shows from mentioning The Voice UK.
O'Leary had previously insisted that The X Factor was still bigger than The Voice UK.
Speaking of X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos's sex tape, O'Leary added: "I haven't watched it - I swear to god I haven't looked. I'm well aware what happened but I promise I didn't watch it."
