Michael Gambon promoted to series regular on HBO's 'Luck'
Michael Gambon has been upgraded to a regular cast member in HBO's drama Luck.
Created by David Milch of Deadwood, Luck stars Dustin Hoffman as Chester 'Ace' Bernstein who becomes an owner of a racehorse after completing his three-year term in a California federal prison.
Gambon plays Ace's former business partner named Michael 'Mike' Smythe, who was the reason why Ace was thrown in prison.
The Harry Potter actor will now star as a regular in season two, reports Deadline.
Margarita Levieva has also joined the Luck cast in a recurring role in season two as the sister of Nathan Israel (Patrick J Adams), according to the reports.
Luck premiered in January and has been renewed for a second season.
