The America's Next Top Model star will play Alisha, Winston's (Lamorne Morris) sister who is also a professional basketball player, reports TV Guide.
Hill's character visits her brother when her basketball team comes to town and hates that she becomes the latest object of interest for Schmidt (Max Greenfield), who challenges her to a one-on-one game of basketball.
Hill will appear in the second episode of season two, which will premiere on Tuesday, September 25 on Fox.
New Girl is also set to introduce Winston's mother - to be played by Anna Maria Horsford - who doesn't like Schmidt either.
Hill joins previously announced guest stars Parker Posey, David Walton, Niecy Nash and Raymond Barry.
Hill appeared as a finalist on America's Next Top Model's Cycle 4.
