'Lost Girl' renewed for third season
Lost Girl has been picked up for a third season by Canadian network Showcase.
The paranormal drama, which stars Anna Silk as seductive succubus Bo, is currently in its second year.
Each episode follows Bo as she learns to control her supernatural abilities, helps those in need and learns more about her mysterious origins.
Life Unexpected's Ksenia Solo and The Tudors actor Kris Holden-Ried also appear on the show, which airs on Syfy in the UK.
Since launching in September 2010, Lost Girl has become Showcase's highest-rated drama series, with the second season averaging close to 400,000 viewers.
Anna Silk told earlier this year that the show is always "evolving and changing".
"I don't even know what's in store for the end of the [second] season yet," she explained. "I only know what comes to me every week in the scripts, so it's exciting for me to see how it's changing as well."
The Lost Girl midseason finale airs on Sunday, December 18 on Showcase. Production on season three will begin in spring 2012.
