Celebrity Big Brother Heidi & Spencer land one-off Channel 5 show

Celebrity Big Brother stars Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag have landed a one-off TV show on Channel 5.

The couple, who finished second to Rylan Clark in last month's final, will appear in one-hour special The Speidi Story, which will document their time on US reality show The Hills and their stint in the Big Brother house.

Virgin Media quotes a spokesman for the show as saying: ''Speidi have gone from being America's most loathed couple to a new UK phenomenon, thanks to Celeb Big Brother. This is their story.''

Some 15 security guards were reportedly on hand to protect the couple as they appeared at a meet and greet with fans in London this morning (February 2).

They previously tweeted: ''Come and meet the King and Queen of Reality TV. See you there... To all the lovers and haters in Britain, come and see the real Speidi before we head back to the USA.

''We've been reading all yours Tweets about us. So now come and tell us in the flesh. Ha ha ha!''

Heidi and Spencer recently urged Ofcom not to continue with an official investigation into their behaviour in the house, telling the media regulator to "put on your big girl knickers and stop whining".

They wrote in an open letter to the Daily Star: "What would Star Wars be if there were no Empire to defeat? Villains are essential to our culture, both our art and our real lives. We don't condone violence and we don't condone bullying. We do, however, get paid to be on television."

The Speidi Story will air later this month on Channel 5.

CBS's Statement on Super Bowl Delay

Here is CBS's statement on the Superdome power outage that delayed Super Bowl XLVII by 35 minutes:

"Immediately after the power failure in the Superdome, we lost numerous cameras and some audio powered by sources in the Superdome.  We utilized CBS’s back-up power and at no time did we leave the air.

During the interruption, CBS Sports’ Steve Tasker, Solomon Wilcots and our studio team reported on the situation as a breaking news story, providing updates and reports while full power was being restored to the dome including our sets and broadcast booth.  All commercial commitments during the broadcast are being honored.”

Shayne Ward leaves 'Dancing on Ice'

The 28-year-old singer, who won The X Factor in 2005, received the lowest number of votes from the public alongside EastEnders actor Matt Lapinskas. Both had to perform again for the chance to be saved from elimination.

Before performing again in the 'Save Me Skate', Ward said: "I got my best mark tonight, but I'm devastated to be in the bottom two."

After skating to The Temper Trap's hit 'Sweet Disposition', Ward and partner Maria Filippov were eliminated from the competition by judges Robin Cousins, Karen Barber and Ashley Roberts.

Only Jason Gardiner voted to save Ward, after Lapinskas stumbled and fell during his performance, citing that in his opinion, the 'Save Me Skate' had to be "performed perfectly".

Lapinskas was visibly upset after the mistake during his routine, breaking down in tears when asked by presenter Phillip Schofield how he believed his performance went.

After discovering that he would be leaving the competition, Shayne was also seen with tears in his eyes.

Dancing on Ice continues next Sunday (February 10) on ITV.

'Thunderbirds' to return with new CGI series in 2015

Thunderbirds is to be revamped for a new 2015 series.

Thunderbirds are Go! will update the classic '60s series using a combination of CGI animation and live-action model sets.

An order has been made for 26 half-hour episodes to air on ITV and the CITV channel, marking 50 years since the Gerry Anderson original debuted in 1965.

ITV Studios' Denise O'Donoghue said: "Thunderbirds is a highly respected brand that continues to hold recognition around the world. This cult series is often credited as changing the history of animation and action-adventure, and we look forward to taking the show to another level while retaining the much-loved heritage that has endured over the past 50 years."

Ben 10's Rob Hoegee is head writer on the series, which is currently in pre-production.

Another Anderson series, Captain Scarlet, was previously revamped with new CGI animation - Gerry Anderson's New Captain Scarlet aired for 26 episodes in 2005.

Simon Cowell misses five hours at 'Britain's Got Talent' with migraine

Simon Cowell missed five hours at yesterday's Britain's Got Talent auditions due to illness (February 3).

The TV show judge was forced to miss most of the day's filmed auditions as he was suffering from a migraine.

He later joined David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden at 8pm at the Manchester auditions.

Walliams joked that it was his fault that Cowell was ill, telling the audience: "I wasn't feeling well yesterday and he kept saying, 'Don't come near me' - but I couldn't help myself."

Amanda Holden added: "It's ace when he isn't here. We can have our say and relax and drink lots of champagne at his expense."

Simon Cowell is said to have put through The Voice UK singer Bill Downs to the next round of Britain's Got Talent.

He will reportedly film a one-off sketch for Comic Relief involving a pretend wedding to a unknown bride.

'Good Cop' not returning for second series, says Warren Brown

Warren Brown has revealed that his BBC One drama Good Cop will not return for a second series.

The crime thriller premiered in August 2012, but its four-part run was interrupted following a real-life tragedy involving two female police officers.

The final episode - which featured scenes of a violent attack on a female police officer - was delayed by three weeks, attracting 1.9m viewers - considerably down from the previous episode's 4.39m.

Brown, who played tortured cop John Paul Rocksavage, revealed on Twitter that a second run is "not happening".

Good Cop followed Rocksavage as he pursued a violent quest for revenge following the brutal murder of his partner (Tom Hopper) by a gang of criminals.

Brown will next be seen reprising his role as Justin Ripley in the third series of Luther, which is currently filming and will air on BBC One later this year.

Super Bowl 'Under the Dome' Ad Leads to Insane Online Trick

CBS seized on the Super Bowl to unveil one of the cooler -- and scarier -- online promotions we've ever seen.

A brief ad for the upcoming summer miniseries "Under the Dome," from Stephen King and Steven Spielberg, directs users to a website where they are then asked to enter their address.

In seconds, their home -- or whatever address they enter, so be nice -- is pictured trapped under a force field. Just like the entire Maine small town in the series, based on King's bestseller.

Don't worry. Entering your address won't actually cause a dome to enclose your home.

We don't think.

ITV's Lorraine criticised for letting Dannii Minogue promote milk product

ITV's Lorraine has been criticised by Ofcom for allowing Dannii Minogue to promote a new milk product she was associated with on the magazine programme.

The reality TV judge appeared on Lorraine on November 8 last year, discussing her role in the show's forthcoming feature, The Little Black Dress Diet.

However, this also coincided with the UK launch of A2 milk, an Australian product containing only A2 protein, which Minogue was backing.

Ofcom received a complaint that the five-minute-long interview involved excessive promotion of the milk, including host Lorraine Kelly allowing Minogue to discuss when it was available, the difference between A2 and regular milk, and where the product could be purchased.

The interview included the following sequence:

DM: "As a kid I was never able to drink milk, I didn't even eat ice creams, or do any of that because I just felt..."
LK: "You just didn't like it, a lot of people are like that, just don't like the taste.
DM: "I know, so it's... ah... so it's a new thing that's come here. It only has one protein in it. It's one protein that's not GM-modified or anything. They're just special cows."
LK: "[Laughing] Special cows. Happy cows."
DM: "I like to think that they're in a field with a red rope around them, and sunglasses, and possibly are right divas. Divas! It's out in the supermarket now."
LK: "Well that's great, it obviously works."

ITV told Ofcom that neither it, the programme producer, nor any person connected with Lorraine had received any payment for the references to A2 milk. Nor was there any product placement deal in place on the show.

But the broadcaster admitted that Minogue was "motivated to talk about A2 milk in the interview because of her commercial relationship with the product".

ITV noted that the nature of this commercial relationship was not stated clearly on the show, and instead Minogue discussed the milk as though she had just 'discovered it in Australia'.

In its latest Broadcast Bulletin, Ofcom said even though the mention of A2 milk was brief, the overall effect of the mentions and information portrayed was "to promote and endorse A2 milk".

"The manner and language was promotional and Ofcom considered that the information included in the discussion went beyond what would be justified for editorial reasons, even taking into account Dannii Minogue's own health issues with conventional milk," said Ofcom.

"In addition we were concerned that while ITV had submitted that it had been agreed prior to broadcast that 'a passing reference to Dannii's commercial relationship with A2 could be made', there was no indication given to viewers that Dannii Minogue was paid to promote A2 Milk. Ofcom therefore concluded that the references to A2 milk were promotional and unduly prominent."

ITV was guilty of a similar breach recently when Amanda Holden was allowed to make promotional and unduly prominent references to a group of law firms on This Morning.

Ofcom therefore said that it expects the broadcaster to "take further steps to ensure compliance in this area".
